Friends in Faith Women’s Ministry

Our Women’s group meets the 4 th Thursday of each month at the home of Marion Dodson. We usually have great attendance with approximately 14-16 women present for our morning meeting at 10:30 AM. We have a second meeting on the same day at 6:00 PM. The purpose of two meetings is to ensure that we provide an opportunity for any woman who wants to be a part of our group has the opportunity.

Our meeting begins with fellowship and delicious refreshments provided by various women. We open our meeting with a devotion provided by various members. We have recently been focused on making some items for sale at our Christmas Bazaar, which is normally scheduled in early November. With our proceeds last year, we were able to support projects that focused on families and saving our children. We made a monetary donation and partnered with Project Belong, which is an organization that supports foster families. We purchased bibles and sent them to the Appalachian area. We are also working with Young Life to provide chap sticks that can be distributed to any youth that might be in unsafe conditions. We have worked with local law enforcement to determine ways to educate our community on children safety issues.
